Are Chondroitin and MSM necessary in a Glucosamine joint health supplement?

WHAT?

I've been taking a Glucosamine Sulfate supplement for about a month now and have noticed an improvement in my shoulder and neck movement since. However, I wonder if spending the few extra dollars for a supplement containing that along with Chondroitin Sulfate and MSM would be worth it? I know that the other two varieties of them aren't that well absorbed and are essentially a waste of money, especially given the success of the Sulfate version that I've been taking.
BTW: I understand that there was a recent study showing that most supplements on the market aren't worth buying as they go unabsorbed by the body. However, those are 'cheap' supplements that make use of either Glucosamine NAS or Glucosamine HCl (they study profiled mostly mass market varieties under $20 US). There has, however, been study into the effectiveness of the more costly Glucosamine Sulfate, which is more easily absorbed. Having tried several of the lesser types, I personally agree with that conclusion. :)
