presently? I mean look at India compared to China. They are like completely different worlds. India is a poor third world country while China is and was more like Russia. Maybe some poor places but the infrastructure was strong and the cities looked modern (unlike the slums and shacks of India). China's buildings are very modern while I don't see a single Indian city that is modern. They look like third world comparable to some African cities.

Even in history, China was never like a third world country like India with little power and connection with world events. It had a seat in the security council and was major in both Korean and Vietnamese wars in the Cold War. It was a Second World Nation like Russia. It was in WW2. India on the other hand was just a poor battle field third world country.

Are they even in the same tier/world? Is China closer to India or Russia? Is India closer to China or Africa? In terms of development.
