Ok, so my friend recently enrolled at Charter College in Pasco, WA. She is going to do the medical assistant program. She told me how wonderful everything was there so I was interested in doing the dental assistant program. After doing some research on my own, I found out that Charter College is not CODA-accredited (Commission on Dental Accreditation). Which means you cannot take the DANB- examination (Dental Assisting National Board) to become a certified dental assistant. I was also looking up the medical assistant program to see if that program is accredited there and from what I found its not. Not accredited by the CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) or by the ABHES (Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools). Can anyone verify my information? It would be SO helpful if someone could let me know if what I found out is correct. Thank you so much!
