...looking at a 2006 mazda 6 but ? it doesn't have power windows. I find that strange. Does this mean the car is a way cheaper version? If you know please help.

Well, it certainly means it has fewer options on it. So, yes, the purchase price when new was lower than a fully loaded model.

If you intend to drive it for a long time, I would suggest that a model without power windows is a better choice. This goes for all options that you don't really need. It's just one more thing to break and cost a lot to fix. I've always driven older cars, and I prefer base models with few options.

does not mean its Cheap it just dont have the extra luxury as some other models cars with power seats windows etc. you will pay extra for so the real question is if you really like the car dont let the roll down window stop tou from buying it

cheaper. but by no means is a new Mazda 6 cheap. Besides, most of those things, like power windows/locks are standard on new cars and carry no weight in the pricing of the car. I doubt you can buy a new 6 without all power options.
