Are calls between ATT and T-Mobile 'free'?

My boyfriend has an ATT phone and I have a T-Mobile, we've been talking for about two hours a night the past week, and my phone says I just have 190 minutes taken up (not left over)! So I was wondering if calls between the two companies are free, because I think ATT bought T-Mobile?

Check your plans. If the T-Mobile plan is like most, its unlimited calling. The AT&T, with unlimited texting includes unlimited cell to cell.

The merger is not yet denied, the dept of justice is against it but it's up to the FCC. They haven't made their decision yet.
 
If you have unlimited texting then mobile to mobile calls are free on tmobile. But the us government blocked the merger so they will remain separate.
