when they made their claims? I have just heard an interview with Ann Widdecombe, where she moaned about the retroactive expenses inquiry. Should they have realised how bad their claims would look to the taxpayer or does she have a point?

Well to be frank, with the economy in a down turn, and costs going down, what justification would there be for a COLA.
Especially a COLA based on past times?
Next years increase to SS recipiants is cut because th president did not authorize a COLA to be granted.
