i am in year 9 and i am taking an AQA biology gcse tomorow. B1a (human biology) and B1b (evolution and environment). i am really worried because i think that it is too early to take it and i have done alot of revision and done alot of past papers but im worried as i think that it will be different from them because people wanted them to be harder, what do you think?

How to Revise ------------ Firstly here are a few DOs and DON'Ts.

DO NOT:

panic
just stare at the pages
copy out your text book
think you can do it all tomorrow
expect someone else to do it for you

What you should be doing:

keep calm
do what you can
use your time sensibly
write three lists of topics which you
know understand and have memorized
understand and need to memorize
need help with
plan when you will do some memorizing
get help from a science teacher//parent//friend
try some past papers

This is the kind of thing you should end up with:

"I can label a diagram of the human digestive system and get it all correct every time because I have memorized it. I must memorize the names of the enzymes in the mouth and stomach, I understand what they do but I didn't bother to memorize it for homework last year. I will do this next Tuesday evening. I really don't understand what happens to the food after it has been digested; I know I need help; I will go and ask teacher XY tomorrow (I will get help from any science teacher who I can find its what they are paid for). When I have done this I will tick it off my lists."

Hey im year9 too and im taking my physics gcse tomorrow too. last time i took my biology test and found it quite easy (though i did do the foundation) but don't worry about it do plenty of revision and relax. I found it quite easy after long time revision the night before. like all day today i have been revising mad for my physics good luck x

i have just done those tests but in year 10 and i have my last exams of them tomorrow too. Look it can be difficult but only if you havent prepared for them so honestly i dont think you have anything to worry about considering how much revision you have done listen to some peoples advice on here and you will do fine

What ever you do DONT WORRY during the test it doesnt help when you have finished go over your test paper but dont make the same mistake i did think i got something wrong and changed it i found out i was right the first time

my teachers advice go by your first answer (it helped me i dont change them now and surprisingly i got most of them right)

good luck

I'm bad at biology but i worked my butt off and i think the exam was just fine and i think i'll get a credit mark in it.

how have you done on your past papers?
you are very likely 2 do the same :)
also biology in my opinion is by far one of the easiest gcses.
imo easier than business, geography etc, and off course more than the other sciences.
good luck :)

hey if you've done revision and prepared the best you can you'll be fine. Its an exam, just to test how much you know and see if you're capable of the next step. Its not that bad, I took mine recently and it is fine. Just revise and try your best. Good luck
