Sorry my question isn't very clear. What I mean is that I like writing when it comes to doing projects for work like writing up what I have learnt on a training course to feed back to the team or writing in my diary, but I'm not a very inspired person so I dont know if I could ever become a fictional author.
Are authors generally inspired people who are good at coming up with ideas for books, or are they just good at building on an idea they have maybe come across on the news or on the internet or something (i.e. an idea they have come across elsewhere, not just come up with off the top of their head)
