Are Auras the same as radiation?

Since they are basically charged ions that are funneled from the sun? If you were to stand in an aura it would increase the risk of genetic mutation?
AURORAS, please excuse me.

So if auroras are basically just larger particles, then most of the smaller particles (radiation) from the sun goes right through the magnetosphere and/or gets reflected back into space?

The auroras are charged particles, but it's not radiation. Radiation is more intense in auroras, for the same reason why they form, but what you are seeing is not radiation. Radiation is tiny subatomic particles, too small to be seen.
