I get charged with animal cruelty because i did not get medical treatment for my dog's damaged leg. he walks on 3 legs and one of his leg went bad for some mysterious reason. Since he as able to manage on 3 legs and walked fine and lived happily, I decided to ignore. My decision to ignore his bad leg was because i'm financially very tight and have no job. Now i get charged with animal cruelty after some neighbor complained. My dog get snatched away from me too. I was charged with neglect. It was not neglect. he was healthy and well cared for.
Are animal cruelty laws useless? what's their purpose?
