As much as the politicians and the news reports that MANY americans are suffering ..... the majority of Americans I know seem to have a great deal of disposable income. Enough money to eat out ... buy fast food ... go to movies often ... carry cell phones ... not worry too much about gas consumption ....
Of course, this is the majority of people I know .... not all but ... it seems like we all had much more than the previous generation .... in terms of disposable income. Or are our priorities different ??

well im only 13 so you might not want to trust my opinion but i definitely believe that our culture is just whining
like our economy is collapsing mostly because of the housing market but the thing is that people are just buying way out of their means
like really you have these people now who are buying like 4 bedroom houses when its only like a young couple who definitely can't afford it because they don't plan for the future which is really stupid
my family is upper middle class or low high class (i think) and we make like 250 thousand a year before taxes but still we don't buy a lot of stuff like other families do
these people are just being idiots and getting whatever they want because they think they are entitled to it
its like the great depression but not as bad because its not as widespread so yeah
