Are all Nascar engines (Ford,GM,Chrysler etc.) built from chevy short blocks?

This is something I'm told was stated in a in a national racing or hot rod magazine. Anyone see the articule?
 
No, each manufacturer, uses their own equipment. But all the rear end gears are a racing model built from the base design of the Ford 9" rear end. Or at least that's what I read in Speedway Racing.

All of the manufacturers use different engines.. Each manufacturer has different cylinder heads..
All small block, OHV push rod engines are based on the Chevy small block..
