Are all Mormons good for is taking away civil rights, and dodging trucks?

i'm not sure i understand...dodging trucks? taking away civil rights..? In what way?? Did I miss something?
 
Is this over the whole prop 8 thing? I think this is about prop 8.

I know mate I was surprised too I didn't know Mormons alone held majority vote in California. I thought they held a little less than 5%, how could I have been so blind? I mean it couldn't been a mix of people with different thoughts on the subject who voted against it, could it?

But yeah keep on fighting for gay marriage it's been working well so far. I mean who wants a prop that betters civil unions to be equivalent to marriage, what a crazy thought...
 
All I can say is if your a mormon that's when civil rights come into play bcz you allow it and they make you believe it that its ok and its right under Gods law no its NOT read a Bible and in the New Testament and you will see and that last page the Lord says do not add to this Book its a sin, what do the mormons do? Have the book of mormon!
 
taking away rights?...how about protecting my rights (and rights of children to not have to see or hear filthy and depraved things?)

it is the same right to not have to view pornography in public or the same right to not have to put up with public drunkenness or profanity...

it is the right to have a standard of decency in society...that is one reason why I support Prop. 8.
 
Most Mormons are odd people living in a different world, kind of colt like people.
Although i don't know if they are good at dodging trucks because i never tried to run one over.
 
Well, I'm not a Mormon but I think most of them are just ordinary people who happen to follow Mormonism
 
haha... dodging trucks? wierd... mormons are the first to help people (food, etc) in disasters and just to help families... they help so much, so fast, the federal government has asked the mormon church to help them and show them how they respond so fast. taking away civil rights? im assuming ur talking about gays and lesbians? the mormon church did not take away any civil rights for them ppl in california... the citizens of california did... the people voted on it and it passed... its just another case of PEOPLE NOT KNOWING WHAT THEY'RE DOING!!!
 
If you blame the Mormons about the gay law thing, you should also blame the black community. They voted 71% in favor of it, as where only 47% of whites did and I do not think you will find many black Mormons. I guess that would not be politically correct or maybe you like casting all you blame on a certain group. I am all for gay rights, I just hate this blame and whine attitude. There are a lot of laws that suck, like the drug laws for example, but attacking is not the best way to change opinion.
