Are adults with "special needs" more likely to produce "special" or autistic children?

My intent is not to be offensive or rude. I am fully aware that special needs children are not always the result of a special needs parent.

However, my Internet searches for scientific research and facts has turned up nil. However, there must be studies on this topic.
