Are these good trucks to have or are they too much work? Found one for $450 without doors but it runs. 4 spd 6 cylinder engine. fix it or leave it?????

well to each is there on when it comes to antique cars and trucks. In the south lot of people looking for the old c-10 step side trucks. You can buy every part you could ever need to restore.. If you like the truck and you have a little extra MONEY TO SPEND ON IT . buy it .I would put in a v-8 engine with a 5 speed or 700r-4 transmission.

We have a '65 that has been resto rodded and is used to tow our boat.

Tossed out the six and the suspension and rebuilt her from the ground up. These are very nice trucks to work on if you can get one with a nice straight frame.

here's a few of our mods

old built up 283 w/ 4 speed and three 2 BBL's
power steering
4 wheel power discs
12 bolt 3.73 posi rear end
Camaro sub frame NOS parts.

And we are in the process of gathering parts for A/C. (winter project)

The body is totally stock. The only change inside is a floor shifter and a tilt/tel wheel.

My boys want to do more mods but I am happy with the results so far.
