So, I brought my imac in a few weeks ago due to a high pitched noise that was caused when the brightness was dimmed. I brought it in and they said it would take 5-7 days. I came in on the 8th day to see why it was not ready and they said they needed to wait until night when it would be quiet enough for the technicians to listen to see if the sound was gone, they told me it would be ready the next morning at the latest. I came back in the next night, and it was still not ready, they said that they still needed to put the screen back on and that they could have it ready in a few hours so i went home then came back when they called me. Once i got home with the computer, i saw that the display was put back on crookedly, and when i turned it on, the problem was not even fixed! I brought it back today to see what was going on. The genius and manager refused to replace it because it was the 2009 model, and would not budge. They ended up ordering $1127.87 worth of parts to replace, almost the cost of a new computer! ($1200). But im still under warranty so i don't have to pay anything. It took 9 days to fix they said 5-7, and after many times going back and forth to the store, put back together wrong, and didnt fix the problem, they still will not replace it, why?
