Pro, read on please? My external hard drive has suddenly stopped working with me 17" MacBook Pro. I used it mostly to capture high quality and HD video as I am a Wedding Videographer. Now for some reason when I connect it via the USB port, none of the files are longer visible, yet it still tells me that there is only 50GB of space remaining (it's 1000GB capacity).
The 'Time Machine' also doesn't work when I try to click into it, and then my Finder crashes and won't relaunch even when I force it to. All my desktop icons disappear also. None of this can be fixed until I shut down the laptop, disconnect the hard drive and boot up again. Really frustrating as I have an editing project that needs doing.
Does anyone know what this could mean? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
