Apple iPod 5th generation wont work!!! :[?

okay, so i have the 5th generation, & my mom put it in the washer like a month ago, i left it alone for like 3 days, & it was working perfectly fine, until yesterday? i can scroll like move the volume up and down, but i couldnt change the song, like i couldnt press the left and right buttons, or use the menu or play one, and when i put it on the charger, and took it off, it was on the menu, so i tried to pick something while it was fully charged, but it wont select anything, all it does is scroll up and down Dx

what do i do?!?!?!
i dont have a recept for it, well..i cant find it, & yeah D:

idk what to do.
