1. You ll be fine.Every phone charger has the same voltage output.Voltage is the only thing you should considere if you want to exchange charger use.
2. Look at apple website http://www.apple.com/support/products/iphone.html
it give you TWO years of apple care counted from the date you purchased your iphone NOT your extended apple care.

Two quick questions for ya
1)I have a 3g apple iphone and I needed a charger as mine was misplaced. My friend gave me her extra one from her iPhone 3gs. Are they compatible? I know that it works and chargers my iphone, but unsure if in the long run, if it will damage my iphone components on the inside. The only reason i think this is that the 3gs has a lot more capabilities, such as compass, voice control, and has a faster processer so it would need more juice. Do you think after awhile it will fry my iPhone because it’s getting over juiced? Or will it be just fine to use?

2)Also i bought the extended apple care, my standard warranty doesn’t end for another 6 months. Is there an expiration date on apple care? It’s brand new and never opened.

Thanks for the help ppl : )

it shouldn't damage your phone since they both have the same voltage and maH chargers. This means that they are pretty much identical. Also, your apple care shouldn't start until you activate it which i'm pretty sure requires going online and inputing a code that is inside the box.
