Apple iPhone 4 vs Blackberry Torch 9800

This is perfect timing. I'm going to buy one of these two phones. Maybe someone here can help with my concerns.

My wife and kid both have iPhone3. I've played with it, but find it annoyingly easy to accidentaly call someone. Both of them have also "butt dialed" me more than once. Is this a common problem with the iPhone?

I have a BB Curve from work. I've only had it a few months and I really like the email and physical keyboard. I'm not sure I'd like a touch keyboard. I'm getting rid of it because IT has so many restrictions on it I can't fully use it. It has a trackball which I find so-so. It seeems there is a lag sometimes and other times I overshoot the target.

Comments?

By your description it sounds like you should get the torch. I've never butt dialed anyone before on my iPhones. I've owned them all. With the torch you do get the best of both worlds though. Touch screen (with on screen kb) and a great physical kb. If your more into multimedia then go with the iPhone. If messaging, and productivity is your thing then go with the BB torch.

Thanks for the comments.

I just returned from BB where they had working demos of both phones. The thing that bugged me about the Torch was the keyboard in portrait mode. The letters are two per key and it was maddening to select the second of the two letters. I don't know if there is a simple way and I just didn't see it, or if you can change the keyboard size so it is one letter per key.

Decisions, decisions....

I Agree in most points of canadian student BUT BB torch its so under power and in less than a year it will be forgotten. I'm not an apple buyer or will be anytime soon I think, but to be realistic you get more bang for your buck when you go with the iphone. Updates every year its way more develop more apps supports exchange, their some 3rd party hardware keywords theres TONS & TONS of apps and supplies. Cases, audio stands,Speakers,Cases even microphones and credit card swipers what ever you call it. Not that your going to use or buy all this but if I was on AT&T Iphone would be my choice to stick with a 2year plan.
