Hi, folks.
I've been beating my head against the wall for too long. I need professional help(!) I'm a complete dunce at this stuff...right now.
I'm trying to write an Android 2.2 app. Using Eclipse IDE. Their built-in emulator.
No errors reported in program. I try to run...everything works good until app tries to install on emulator. Then I get:
INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_BAD_SHARED_USER_ID
...and the app fails to install.
I have no idea what a GOOD shared user id is...much less a BAD one. And I can't seem to find out how to get this resolved. It seems to have something to do with some value stored in the emulator after the app is first installed under some name...and thereafter appears to expect some information that I'm supposed to supply. But I have no idea what it's asking for.
Or...maybe it's a problem with "signing" or something?
Anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks so much. My head hurts...and the wife is complaining about the holes in the wall.
