App Error 205 on Blackberry Pearl 8130?

Okay, i asked this question earlier yesterday, and I need help again!
I have a blackberry pearl for Verizon wireless, that i bought in september 2009,, and the other day, it was doing this thing where it deletes any messages that I recieve before i even try to look at them. (which it has been doing since a couple months after i got it.) Well, I usually just turn it off, take out the battery, and let it restart itself and it usually works. Well, it wasn't working this time, because it just kept deleting everything. And so I tried one final time too get it to work. I left the battery out for a couple of minutes, and i stuck it back in, only to have it showing an hourglass on the blank white screen (which it usually does forr about 2 minutes), but this time it was for maybe 5 or more minutes? Well, anyways, then when it finally came on (i left it for awhile without checking it.)It was a very blank, plain white screen and the only thing that it said was (in realllllllllllllllyyy small letters in the very middle of the screen.)"App Error 205." then underneath it, it said "Reset" which there was no option except to either leave it as it is or press reset, so i pressed reset, and the whole thing started happeneing over & over again. I even left the battery out all night last night to try and let it sit and get better, ya know, but it didn't work. Is there no hope for my phone?!
PS- i tried going to this page on the blackberry website that said to plug it into the blackberry desktop manager, and then click on the download updates button, which i did. But, when i plugged it in, the computer wouldn't even recognize that it was plugged in. It said blackberry pearl on the page, but when i went to click on the "Update my Device" from the drop down menu at the top, it wasn't able to click. Like, it wasn't highlighted. And, Then there was an error message saying that my phone was not able to connect to the computer and that i had the option to either retry ( which didn't ever work.) and too try downloading an update, or too close. I tryed the update, but i waited and left it to try and update for 10 minutes, and NOTHING happened but the loading screen that said "checking for updates."
I'm going to try and go to the verizon store tomorrow to get it replaced, but I really want to keep this phone so if there's any way that anyone could help, that would be greatly appreciated!
