I have an apartment unit rented out to a family. My question is "Do I really need a landlord insurance for the apartment unit even if I do not care about the loss of rental income that might happen?" My worst fear is that what if someone gets hurt in my property and that person sues me for that.
However, unlike housese, apartment units are managed by a body corporate and if anything happens in the apartment complex, I think, the body corporate is responsible.
Could anyone please explain why I still need an insurance when I rent out an apartment unit not a house?
