Okay, for my Concentration pieces, I wanted to do something like modern Disney.
Taking the symbolism behind the Disney stories from a long time ago and applying them to modern situations, while hinting in the pieces which story it's from.
For example, my Rapunzel piece (from the recent Tangled movie) is a girl with really really long hair gazing wishfully out of the window of a very tall apartment looking down at the city below.
Beast, from Beauty and the Beast, is a boy with a scarred face looking into a very ornate mirror (with a lion's head carving for the mirror frame) getting ready for prom with a rose corsage, kind of looking into the mirror with a comforted smile on his face. (The story behind it was supposed to be, like, he was a rich boy hot shot who got into a car accident, scarred his face, hated himself, then met the girl who made everything okay, now he's going to prom with her everything's happy yaay)
and so on and so forth with other Disney stories
The thing though is like
Is that the point of a Concentration?
Am I doing this right?
My art teacher says it should be okay, but I'm not too sure :/
