I'm a senior. I am debating about taking either human biology or Advanced Placement Biology.
My class rank is 5/190 and i don't want that to drop, so keep that in mind. and i also plan to attend college to major in PreMed Biology.
I am currently in AP Biololgy and today was the second day. It's going to be a lot of work and studying every night for the year. I'm worried it will take away from the enjoyment of my senior year. And if I don't pass the AP exam, I will be taking the same class over again next year in college and the teacher told me to pass the AP exam it will require considerable study time. She also said not to be surprised if our grades that are usually A's will now be B's and C's. But the course is weighted...so an A is a 4.8 instead of a 4.0 and so on.
I have wanted to take Human Bio since I was a freshman but it is a general class, not even in the college prep cirriculum...just general. So, I'm worried if I take Human Bio my GPA and class rank will drop because the other kids in the top 10 are still going to take their AP and Honors Classes.
The human bio teacher said she'd have loved to have an idea of anatomy when she took it in college and my guidence counselor who went into college as pre med said she would've loved to have had the opportunity to take AP bio.
so, needless to say, i'm confused and don't know what to do. I dance every night after school for anywhere from 2-4 hours and I go into school early 2 days a week to participate in show choir. As well, I'm taking a college writing class, Honors Economics, and AP calculus....
So any advice would be appreciated!
