As I mentioned in another thread, I found out I either am allergic to latex or adhesive tape (going to find out which one I'm allergic too in the next few days). I was just wondering what can help soothe the pain of the rash? It feels like a bad sun burn. I took some oral Benadryl to help the swelling and I put some Colmine lotion on the area to stop the burning. It's not horrible, but I'm not sure what to do next?

Cortisone cream usually helps. Only time will get rid of it. And it's probably the adhesive. Use the allergy free paper stuff instead.

I third the cortizone cream. It is what my doc recommenRAB as well. Even with that, it sometimes takes several weeks for my rashes to clear up.

I tried Hydrocordizone once a couple years ago and found out I had cellulitis, so I'm a bit nervous using that type of cream. Are there any other creams besides Hydrocordizone that could help out?
I'm seeing a general surgeon on Thursday to talk about my gallbladder, so I'll have him check out what's going on, since he's also a GP.

you could put Benadryl cream on it, but don't take it with oral Benadryl. You could also put Calamine lotion on it.. it doesn't stop the reaction, but helps soothe it.
