First of all, I want to say THANK YOU for the post on here with the typical anxiety/panic attack symptoms. I've seriously been thinking I was going to die of a heart attack this whole week, lol. Seeing them all together has made me feel a lot better (especially seeing that thinking that you are going to die from a heart attack is a symptom... so glad!)
Anyways, I am leaving for a big trip this weekend, 10 weeks by myself to Costa Rica. I am very excited and not consciously nervous about it, but maybe I am suppressing my anxiety. This entire past week I have had trouble breathing, and it gets worse at night (and at night I have trouble sleeping). I feel short of breath, I keep taking deep breaths but it doesn't help... I also have occasional chest pains. I'm hoping they will disappear once I get to Costa Rica and settle in, but I was wondering, is there anything I can do until then? Any remedies or things to help? I hate feeling like this.. even though I read about being afraid of dying I still can't get it out of my head that it isn't anxiety and I am going to die of a heart attack tomorrow or something. :/
