Anyone Work At Target Electronics?

If you work or used to at the electronics department of target, I heard from a friend that a guy bought a camera, then came back and said the box was empty and some other object was put it in, and claimed it was stolen at the store by either a employee or customer. And target had to give him his money back. Is this true, Target has to believe the customer? He told me its because they want to have good customer service and have no proof so they have to assume the customer is right.
