Anyone who actually knows the law...?

I'm recently divorced and having trouble with my ex still (he is an abuser and was not only physically abusive but raped me repeatedly- resulting in the conception of my son), the biggest problem is he refuses to accept the consequences of his actions and is continuing to pretend like we are still together. Namely, through Myspace pictures. I don't even know where he's gotten some of the pictures of me he has on his page, but he has been asked several times now to remove them. I don't have contact with him and have a restraining order against him but a couple pictures included my young niece (whom he attempted to physically abuse) and my sister has been telling him she doesn't want her picture on his page. Does anyone know if there is anything we (sister and I) can do to protect ourselves and get the pictures of me and my niece off his page? The internet is such a trap...

There's very little that you can do about the pictures.

Legally, when you put those pictures on the internet and make them available to the public, you are putting them in the public domain (you could put a copyright notice on them, but probably didn't). He can make a copy if he wants.

Even so, I'm sure it seems intrusive to have him looking at your Myspace pictures. Is there a way to password protect your Myspace account, or some portion of it? That may help.
