Anyone wear ear plugs

I haven't tried, but I can imagine it will do wonder during a long ride, especially when you have to deal with the headaches you get from the engine vibration and wind noise

I have to take Jules' advice, as I have tons of double-sided earplugs

I've tried several, but didn't like any of them much. The worst part is keeping track of them and dropping them etc. Here's my solution now and I no longer need earplugs:

My OGK helmet is the quietest helmet I've ever had; quieter than my Shoei X-11 and way quieter than my Arai Corsair.
With the addition of the Windjammer, it's almost eerie. Yet I can still hear what I need to hear to be safe. I'll never go back to the hassle of earplugs. The Windjammer is about $15.00 with the current exchange rate and delivers from England in about 10 days.

I've tryed ear plugs and an MP3 and didn't like it. I need to hear my surroundings I guess.

+100. Ear plugs are just as important (arguably) as all your other safety gear. As far as cost, I got some custom molded ones (Westone brand: http://www.westone.com/hearing-protection-products/custom-fit-hearing-protection-products-1) for $100.

Think of it this way, how much is your hearing worth? over time, wind noise at 100+ mph can do serious damage.

I never ride without them. I am 62, ride a 1098 with termis, an FJR13 and also like classical music. If I had not worn earplugs for the last 4 decades I would have hearing loss for sure.
