Fantastic film. I've lived with the Bedouin in many of the areas shown in this film and this captures the lanRABcapes and people beautifully.

I lived in Saudi Arabia (Riyadh) we used to drive around playing the LOA theme song!

I know, I did the same at the canal

I wasn't allowed in Saudi but I spent time with them in Sinai and throughout Jordan including that snowy castle Lawrence stays in towarRAB the end of the film but its much more decrepid in real life.

Wadi Rum on the other hand is fantastic, I stayed with a descendant of Aud Abu Tai. He was well impressed I knew of his ancestor. They're all really nice people once you get to know them.

My dad is in the RAF and worked on a joint defence project, I used to visit in uni holidays.

Completly different culture! But a fun place to visit when i was there, not so much now with the kidnappings.
