As an atheist, I believe the bible is just a bunch of stories written for propaganda purposes. After watching the documentary, I am more convinced of this. Basically, it outlines how man (not god) wrote the stories long after Jesus was supposed to have existed, and never actually saw him themselves. It shows many theologians who have proven that 4 different people wrote the first 5 books of the OT, not Moses, making the creation story a bunch of bull. In addition, it was the authorities of the day who chose what was put into the book, and what was left out (including a gospel by Mary Magdalene, left out b/c she was a woman). These people used the book as a tool for controlling the masses. So how can it be divine? And why are people still insisting that it is?
@Geronimo: Archaelogists have also proven that a lot of what the bible says is not true, so therefore, it is a lie. Watch the doc, it outlines this quite clearly.
