Anyone want to discuss social security disability increases? ?

Being on SSD myself i think the 2.3% Increase we get this year is totally out of line with the cost of everything skyrocketing how are we to afford to live like human beings? I barely and not even at times make it thru the month. Anyone else in the same boat?
 
Try something interesting to make the money last...it's called a budget.

Many people have been living on less than what SSD and SSI pay for many years, there is no reason you cannot.

Just wish people would not violate the system.

I'm sure you are not one of them cause you seem to have good knowledge about the increase.
 
i don't know but it pisses me off that my neighbor 2 doors down is allowed to have the state pay for all but $10 of her rent get a state check of over 500 a month and food stamps of over 300 when it is her and her mom who works all because she is over 500 pounds. She knew in high school when she was 300 pounds that she needed to loose weight but she looked into it and found out the government would support her disability if her weight prevented her from being able to hold a job, so instead of doing the hard work and having to learn self control she sits on her butt getting bigger while my tax dollars pay for it and i have to wonder how to feed my child when its 3 days til payday and i have 40$ no gas in the car and almost no food, being gas prices are what they are. I think it sucks. I think people who were hurt should get increases....no people who twist the system to their benefit just cause they don't wanna work. Alot of people who were injured would rather feel better and work, and people like her are ruining our country by looking for and acting on ways to freeload.
