I am getting close to buying my first motorcycle, and am now considering the Honda Shadow Aero 750 (2009 or 2010 model). I will soon take the rider's course and obtain my license; but other than that, I have NO riding experience (well, once 30 years ago for about 20 minutes).
Based on my research and talking to folks, it seems the Aero would be fine around town but I would also prefer the bike handle a tour at least reasonably well.
Has anyone toured on an Aero? Although I wouldn't expect supreme comfort for riding long distances at high speeds, I am at least hoping the bike could run 70-75 mph without rattling my teeth.
No doubt a bigger bike would be better for touring, but like I said it's my first bike plus the bigger bikes are beyond my budget.
Any personal experiences touring on a Honda Aero are welcome.
