Anyone thinking about switching to US Cellular....DONT!!!?

I dont know if I am the only person that has encountered a problem with US Cellular, but I somehow doubt it. I have been a customer for 10 years. Had a great plan that worked well with us. Couldnt add family text plans or anything bcuz I had an "old plan" They wanted me to switch and pay more money for less minures. Yah, sure sign me up right? Dont think so. So, couldnt enjoy any benefits of those. I had never been shut off in 10 years. My bill was due the 4th and I always had it paid by the 11th. I had been told by their customer service dept several times that the longer you are a customer, the more leeway they give you to pay your bill. There is no definite grace period. I cant even tell you how many times I paid on the 11th, a few times even up to the 15th. I called this month to make arrangements to pay on the 17th and they wouldnt let me do it bcuz they said I had no payment arrangements left, when I had never made any before. They shut my service off on the 9th!!! Never has that happened in 10 years. They looked up my payment history and said yes, looks like you usually do pay it around the 11th, but we can shut you off on the 5th if we wanted to, looks like we have been generous to you. Really? Thats all I could think. After getting angry, I asked if they would be willing to waive the shut off fee of $25 per line for 3 lines. $75 extra? No thnx. They wouldnt do it! Need to say, I ended my 10 years as a customer and they could have cared less. Assholes. Do not go through them, they do not care about their customers!!!
