Anyone taking AP US history?

I'm taking it next year as a sophomore and I really don't know what to look for.
I already have the book, some pretty deep topics....
I've also heard that if your a pretty big fan in reading and writing( like me) you'll do fine.
True?
 
Yeah....I took it this year as a sophmore...Well.. U need to read and write, but only that u need A GOOD MEMORIZATION cause u need to know a lot of facts and U better be a fast writer because they give u 3 essays in 2 hours. The outlines are annoying, well Its just basically memorization
