Anyone still have alltel service?

I still have yet to switched to verizon (since verizon has bought alltel out) i am looking to still buy an alltel phone from ebay..is it still possible to do so? like once i get it in the mail can i call the company and have the phone switched over without any charges and such (like i had been doing before verizon bought alltel of course)..

please give me answers :)
 
Have you received a letter from Verizon about the merger transition? If not, you might be part of the Alltel market that will remain Alltel. You can purchase a phone from ebay as long it was used on the Alltel network. You can call customer service to double check that it will work.
