Anyone seen this?

This is odd...on my T3 the very bottom toolbar with clock, bluetooth etc...buttons on it has changed completely with a new menu strip. Now I have whole new buttons with text at the bottom with "home, find, menu, $off and turn".

Very strange and no idea how this happened. Anyone seen this? I have no way to restore my old toolbar. Have not tried a hard reset yet but soft reset has not worked.

I once saw a status bar replacement from freewarepalm.com and I tried to install it. I didn't like as much as the original bar so I tried uninstalling it. I struggled until I read somewhere that you have to delete a file from ram called "system resources" and then do a soft reset. You need to use FileZ or a similar utility. You might want to check the file attributes to make sure the read only attribute is unchecked.

I don't know if the above information applies to your status bar problems. However, it worked for me.

Good Luck!

Will take a look and see - thanks for the suggestion. Drive me nuts when PDA takes on new life and I have no clue how it happened :)

The file name is StatusBarResources on the Palm. If you delete the file in RAM, the System Default returns and you should be all set. Since the Grafitti area is not "permanent" on the T3, programs can be written (resources) that replace the default. I've tried a few different ones which I finally replaced with the original.

No worries at all. Your help is much appreciated. Let me guess you work in IT for being tired? ;)

I've actually gotten used to the new "skin" on my T3 and I might actually keep it for a while. Wish I knew how it was installed.
