How about SARS? Remember that?

The CDC reports that about 36,000 people a year die in the US from flu, mostly elderly or already ill people.

If swine flu increases that to 36,040, I don't think it's worth freaking out about.

The reason you don't know anyone who died from Avian Flu is because it was contained.

The move so aggressively to contain outbreaks because of the harsh lessons learned from ignoring the last major outbreak.

Hmm you have apoint.. like originally telling us not to give our children the MMR jab because of autisim then releasing a big virus of measles, or making such a big deal of it. but thta could be why.. but why over elaborate it.. what is there to hide.. really?
