Anyone remember a cartoon that had a kid made of sugar and a cave-like nasal passage?

All I remember is that near the end of the cartoon, the main character was walking through was appeared to be a cave, but it was actually a giant's nostril! The main character even picked which passage to go down. Also near the movie's end, a character made of candy or sugar revealed that after s/he dissolved in some water, s/he was washed to shore recrystallized. This cartoon had a very washed-out, 70s feel.
