Anyone please? How long before Suboxone leaves the system?

Hi! I am on 1 MG suboxone, I know its not much, but its potent stuff, and its been taking me a long time to ween off!

Anyway, I've an upcoming job interview and if its possible would rather not have to disclose my suboxone use. How long would I have to be off of it, in order for it not to show in a URINE test? Otherwise, I'll just have to tell them. Anyone know? I'm trying to get my life back together, and a job would be great! So please let me know! Thank you, Sherbear38

I am not positive, but I have been told that sub does not show up on a "regular" urine test. It takes a much more sophisticated test. I have seen that on these boarRAB. If someone does not respond, try searching for it.

Dear Loopman! Thank you for responding. I know suboxone won't show on a routine blood drawing, from experience. I was worried about the urine test. I cant find it on a search, its pretty specific, so I hope you're right! If you remeraber it, you probably are.... Thank you! Sherbear38
 
It won't show up on a routine urine test even if you are still taking it. I've been tested while on the larger does and it was negative. They have to test specifically for that drug, which is very expensive and not done for pre-employment testing.

I don't know anything about the Suboxone, I just wanted to say, Congratulations on your job interview, and the fact that you are trying so hard to get your life going in the right direction. I'll be sending good thoughts your way! Keep going in the direction you're heading and you'll be fine.
 
Thank you for your reply Missy 14, it saved me a week of worry! I see no reason why it should be anything but a routine urinalysis... thats what I've heard anyway. And thank you Kmit for your encouragement. That means a lot.

I will let all of you know if it showed up! I will know in about a week or so...... but based on all your responses I'm not too worried anymore. Thanx! Sherbear 38

at the dose that you are on it should not show up on a urine test after 24 hours. The addiction dr. that I see gives me a urine test at every visit,this is a test for everything including suboxone, a couple of visits ago my appt. was in the early AM and I did not take the 2 mg tablet that I take daily yet. Well needless to say I did not test positive for suboxone and it had been about 24 hours since my last dose. So I know that everyone is different but I thought I would let you know to give you some peace of mind. I believe the urine test that I take is a much more advanced test than a standard urine test, however you never know if the urine is tested instantly or sent out to be tested, I would imagine in the event that it is sent out it may show up. So in closing I guess I would recomend if you dont want to take any chances to hold of on your dose for about 24 hours. good luck
