anyone notice decline of biodiversity around their home?

i dont live there anymore but when i go back to my old house and try to look out for lizards and such, they just aren't there. i've even turned over logs to see what still exists and its never what it used to be.

things that USED to be at my old house:
millipedes
lots of green and brown lizards
jumping spiders (still there occasionally)
large ants that would scurry around on the porch, not the bitey kind.
passion flower butterflies
green caterpillars
green japanese beetles
leopard moths
inch-worms
tent caterpillars
a lot more moths. just a LOT more moths.
assasine bugs
stink bugs
pillbugs
earwigs
june bugs
flat head worms
skinks (striped skinks)
gray worm snakes
red bellied worm snakes
texas blind snakes
garter snakes
ribbon snakes
geckos

what we have now
earwigs
pillbugs
the occasional gecko
the occasional skinny looking lizard

how did this happen? my theory is the ants that crawled around on the porch were the main source of food for a lot of critters because they could always be seen crawling alone and id seen jumping spiders pounce them..

something killed them i dont know what. we dont even have jumping spiders anymore. its just sad
that is a LOT to dissapear.
