Anyone looking to get the new G1

How doe sit beat the 8320 on features? The G1 has no desktop sync, no enterprise support, no native video capture, no camera flash, no MMS, no push e-mail support, no java support, no vibrate mode....
goto http://www.omio.com/phones/compare and check it out. The G1 in no way wins on features.

i was thinking of getting it to try it out but then i was reading about it and its just like the iphone....so i said to myself f*** that for all that i can get an iphone unlocked. no point to getting it and it doesnt even have the one thing i really want stereo bluetooth!!!!!!!!

You should really pick a more reliable source! that site is misinformed(or hating)! alot of the stats for the G1 is wrong!! OMG!! do you really think the phone doesnt vibrate????lol.. It does have mms as well! the hardware supports video capture! It does have push e-mail! If not now it will soon, and LOTS more!! thats the point off being open source. And heres proof of mms: click the emulator option

http://tmobile.modeaondemand.com/htc/g1/

and here you can compare the two side by side:

http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone2=2121&idPhone1=2533

what do you mean no java support?!?! now if you compare the Bold then BB wins, but we're not getting the Bold(ever) and the curve gets crushed! as you can see

Another down fall is that I just found out it wont be released in my market till Feb or March. They want to wait to be 3g before they roll it out

"it will soon"
Out of the box, the Curve has more features. We have to wait for developers for functionality. According to the last T-Mo rep I spoke with, who had a demo G1, ther is no Enterprise support, nor is it necessarily in the plans. As for video, you are hoping that video recording is developed. http://blogs.zdnet.com/gadgetreviews/?p=368
Camera: The G1 has 3-megapixel camera. It does not however capture video or offer zoom functionality. It does support video playback for the following formats – H.264, streaming, 3GPP, MPEG4, and Codec 3GP files. http://www.mobilecrunch.com/2008/09/22/t-mobile-g1-specs-leaked-prior-to-announcement/

Correct me if I'm wrong but 8320 didn't have video capture right?voice recorder sucked at first only 1 min?no you tube. Don't get me wrong I love my curve but between 3 new BB that came out tmo got the 8220 I mean come on ???????

Just blackberry and windows mobile and the iphone. G1 will be updated to add new features and fix bugs that might pop up.the cruve didn't shoot video either till the updated OS added it and HTml email. I'm Just happy that tmobile is getting new phones.

NO the curve doesn't have more features out of the box!!!!!!!!!!
Please stop it! you keep bringing more lies to the table! the most silly was "the phone doesnt vibrate, no mms" just silly!!... anyways.. the camera dont have to zoom, it does have auto focus!! THE HARDWARE DOES SUPPORT VIDEO REC. its exactly what yozpalang is tryin to tell you about the curve! now stop your hatin. i showed you the beatdown side by side in blk and white! the curve cant compare in features like i said!! and you should be used to waiting for updates, arent we still waiting for tmo to release thier official OS?!?! so technically the curve cant record video, no HTML e-mails, and i could go on if you want to talk about whats missing out of the box right? I never said the G1 was the best phone out there, but dont spread lies about it! I wont bother clicking your links since you seem to find the most clueless sites!lol hint("leaked specs" meaning not facts) OMG!! you listen to reps too? lol wake up

Are you next going to tell me that the G! will have UMA?
No HTC device has UMA, nor will it.
Google has no plan to offer Enterprise support either.
Obviously, you want a toy.
I want a tool.
We shall have to agree to dsagree.
