Anyone know what could be causing this weird red staticy distortion on my LCD TV?

Just bought a new LCD tv and lately when I turn it on or when I'm watching cable or DVD a weird RED DISTORTION or static appears for a couple minutes then disappears. I've switched HDMI cables and moved my component cable around and it will disappear, but then come back a little later. Doesn't happen all the time but enough.

just sounds like something in the cable input is loose,
