Anyone know this author and can give advice?

Does anyone know the author Saul Bellow...and would any of his novels be a suitable read for a grade 12 student... if yes, which one?
Or if no, i need a really good novel in which i can analyze its themes
P.S. I will have to write a literary comparative essay and compare the novel i choose to either Hamlet, An Inspector Calls, and Death of a Salesman
