...university expenses (in UK) Both my teenage daughters will be at Uni in September and my cheapskate ex has reduced his payments to me to £30 per week for just my son. I will find it really hard to go on helping them out of my own wages. He lives with his mum and has no mortgage or other commitments. Anyone know of any cases?
well obviously they both work but we agreed that they should not end up with thousands of pounds debt. I pay their rent, and they pay everything else. I will keep doing this even without his help, as they are important, at least to me. I don't think it's any worse than spending thousands of pounds on their weddings - I gave them the choice and they chose education. The CSA has taken several hundreds of pounds from, but when I asked where it had gone, they said it had been repaid. The arrangement was he would keep paying for at least a year (another £30 per week) as he has missed child support for 6 out of the last 10 years
