I have bipolar disorder and I am trying to get disability benefits. I just recieved my denial of benefits in the mail today. I plan on appealing and finding a lawyer. I have started calling different lawyers and none of them seem to take bi polar seriosly as a disabling condition. Its very frustrating. I need a lawyer to take my condition seriously so they can help me win my case. I have a small child and honestly-i am too unstable to work right now. One big reason(but DEFINATELY not the only reason) I need to get help is that-my child I could be putting him at risk if I have a manic or depressive episode brought on by stress in the workforce. The workforce is so stressful these days too because of the economy and even mentally stable peole are going nuts at their jobs. Why is this so difficult for people to comprehend?? Anyway just wondering if anyone had dealt with something similair themselves and could offer a little advice. Please-if you have any rude comments don't respond.
