anyone know much about the panasonic lumix g1?

ok i have my camera on the aperture setting and when i try to take a pic its like the shot picture is locked, the picture wont take and the aperture number on the screen lights up red :~/ the iso is at 16000 as im at home and light isnt too good
do you know why this happening???
im in aperture mode :)
