I broke the crank position sensor off of a 2.5 chrysler sebring. I have about a quarter inch still showing. It goes into the transmission bellhousing.... any ideas???? suggestion besides dropping the tranny????
It is the crank sensor and I am gonna try to heat it and put a wood screwin it. It is a sebring convertible and i have the crank sensor to replace it...

are you shure its the crank sensor and not the speed sensor? try putting a wood screw in it and using some vise grips to pull it out.

Click on auto zone and look up your car in the DIY repair pages. It'll tell and show you how to replace it.

There is a rubber boot around it. You could pry or pull the rubber boot out and this should free the crank sensor. It will push right back in once you have the sensor out of the way. Good luck!!
