Okay, so I'm doing this story. You can either give me true ones or make them up. They/it needs to involve something REALLY horrible that the govenment has done. something, anything, please.

Sure. My favorite one is about aliens. In the forties the USA government was contacted by aliens and made a deal with them. They agreed to give the US advanced technology in return for the right to do secret medical experiments on a few Americans. Then the aliens double crossed us (think the Dutch buying Manhattan from the Indians with a few beads,) they gave us no useful technology...and have abducted and continue to abduct huge numbers of Americans and perform bizarre medical experiments on them. This explains, Roswell, UFOs, alien abductions...and why the government is so desperate to keep it all secret.

Yeah I got a real doozy one for ya. The Federalist Papers written by Aleaxander Hamilton and his co-author addressed all of their correspondences to the People of New York when it should have been addresses to the First Continental Congress. This means there was a conspiracy to have the United States of America be known as a Republican form of Government that in their own words didn't care about normal every day folk.
If you read the Federalist papers, you'll find most of it is a story. behind the story was a plan that is still in effect to have America be known as a republican form of government. That is it in a nutshell.
What's strange is how many times the Federalist Papers have been referred to when "constitutional issues" were addressed in later sessions of congress and the senate. It seems most members took their word for it instead of reading the Federalist Papers for themselves.

This is true- Operation Northwoods- the plans were to fake an attack by cuba as a reason to invade. One proposal was to fake the shooting down of a commercial airline
